Christ Church
Following a congregational meeting of Christ Church LEP (Local Ecumenical Partnership), Ross-on-Wye, the direction of travel for the church was agreed by majority to move to closure on the 31st August 2022. This was confirmed by the church council that immediately followed the congregational meeting, and subsequently by the sponsoring body and the 2 denominations.
As the building is a Methodist Trust, its managing trustees become the circuit meeting, who will in due course make a decision on the sale of the building.
A service of thanksgiving for the mission and ministry of the LEP and the two congregations that came together was held on 21st August 2022 at 3pm, followed by refreshments.
Congregation members were helped to find a new congregation to join, and users of the building have all found new premises to meet in.
Ross Meeting Centre are moving to Tudorville Community Centre, with their last meeting at Christ Church on the 31st August, and then having a short break before re-commencing on Thursday 15th September 11.30am - 3.30 pm.
